Pecos National Historic Park

June 5th, 2010 -- 25 miles south east of Sante Fe, New Mexico lies the culturally rich Pecos National Historical Park providing a window to over 10,000 years of human history. From early nomadic hunters and gathers- to ancestral puebloans- to the Spanish occupation- to a decisive Civil War battle, Pecos has it all.

The Civil War reenactments in conjunction with the parks free admission weekend provided ample excuse to visit the park with my father-in-law and my little adventure buddy.
