Newspaper Rock

June 14, 2010 -- I was traveling back to Salt Lake City from Albuquerque and should have taken the direct route but I've always wanted to see Newspaper Rock.
Representing nearly 2,000 years of human activity in the area, Newspaper Rock records events and thoughts in abstract forms and symbols.
Images of animals, symbols, and animorphic characters shed even deeper mysteries on those who've gone before.

Newspaper Rock State Park is located off UT SR211 en route to the Needles section of Canyon Lands National Park. Far often then not the site is passed by travelers unaware that it is even there but it is one of the easiest most accessible and impressive rock art panels in Utah.
